Spiritual Growth and Development Doesn’t take Summer off
We’ve got something for everyone!
In addition to our regular weekly worship service, we offer a variety of programs and activities over the summer. You can get involved or deepen your engagement via adult faith formation, summer pick-up choir, children’s and youth makerspace, volunteer opportunities, and more. Check out the full line-up below.
Summer Choir
A great way to practice singing without a huge time commitment
Everyone is welcome to join the fun. Some ability to read music is helpful, but we also welcome those who enjoy being followers and singing by ear. Some private instruction can be arranged. Also, PDF copies of music and practice materials will be sent by email. Choir meets on Sunday mornings (6/28, 7/5, 7/12, 7/26) before the services at 8:30 AM in preparation for worship. Music will be much easier than what the Cedar Lane usually performs, with emphasis on the new UU Virtual Hymnal Sing Out Love.

Arts-Based Summer Camp
Cultivate Creativity, Compassion, and Community
Ages 6–12 | August 17-21, 2026 | 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
This summer, offer your child more than just entertainment—give them an enriching, heart-opening experience that nurtures both creative expression and ethical awareness. At Cedar Lane, our Arts-Based Summer Camp provides a vibrant, inclusive setting where children ages 6 to 12 are invited to explore their creativity while building meaningful connections rooted in empathy, self-discovery, and community.
Many Streams, One Ocean
An Introduction to Hinduism
Thursdays, August 6 – 27 | 3:00 – 5:00 pm | Zoom
Rooted in a 4,000-year tradition, Hinduism is the world’s third largest faith and a growing presence in American spiritual life. Seekers of many backgrounds have found in its philosophy, stories, and practices something that speaks to their own deepest questions.
Over four sessions we will explore Hindu history, sacred texts, theology, and spiritual practice, along with its remarkable internal diversity and its place in contemporary US. We will also discover points of connection with Unitarian Universalist values and history.
All are welcome.
Summer ValUUES
Where do UU values show up in your community?
This summer, we invite you to explore how Unitarian Universalist values show up in everyday life, in moments both ordinary and extraordinary. Think of it as a community-wide practice of noticing: a lens for seeing justice, generosity, interdependence, transformation, pluralism, equity, and love woven through the world around us.
Your submissions will be featured on Cedar Lane’s social media channels and website, and may also appear in the eNews, creating a shared portrait of our values in action throughout the summer. We look forward to seeing what you find!
